INVITATION
Dear Friends, on behalf of the Finnish Table Tennis Association we have the pleasure to invite your veteran players to participate in the 15th North European Veterans Table Tennis Championships from March 30 to April 1st 2012 in Helsinki, Finland.
TIME and VENUE
The 15th North European Veterans Championships will take place in the Ruskeasuo Sports Hall, Ratsastie 10, Helsinki from March 30 to April 1st 2012.

REGISTRATION of PARTICIPANTS
Registration of the players is open from September 10th, 2011 to March 10th, 2012. There are two ways to register: 1. Online Registration 2. The Registration Form can also be sent to:

PARTICIPANTS
Table tennis players who were born in 1972 or before and are citizens of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Faroe Islands, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia are invited to participate the championships.
Singles (Men & Women): 40 ( born 1972 or before ) 45 ( born 1967 or before ) 50 ( born 1962 or before ) 55 ( born 1957 or before ) 60 ( born 1952 or before ) 65 ( born 1947 or before ) 70 ( born 1942 or before ) 75 ( born 1937 or before ) 80 ( born 1932 or before ) 85 ( born 1927 or before )
Doubles (Men, Women, Mixed): 40 , 50 , 60 , 70 , 80
Each player may enter only one Singles, one Doubles and one Mixed Doubles event. If any category has less than 5 players or doubles pairs, they will be changed to younger category.
TABLES and BALLS
Tables: Butterfly blue Balls: Butterfly ***, color white.
TOURNAMENT SYSTEM
Singles and Doubles events will be played in two stages:
- Preliminary rounds: 3 - 5 players in groups (Round Robin groups), 2 best players continue in Finals and the rest of players go on in consolation groups.
- Finals and Consolations Finals: on a knockout basis.
All matches are played best of five sets. In qualification rounds (Singles & Doubles) the players count the points themselves. After qualification in finals there will be umpires appointed by the referee. In consolation categories, players are also umpires themselves.
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
Registration will start on Thursday, March 29th at 12.00 and will finish on Friday, March 30th at 11.00. Registration will take place in the Sports Hall of Ruskeasuo. Opening ceremony of Championships: on Friday, March 30th at 14.15. On Friday, March 30th, from 12.00 to 21.00: group matches. On Saturday, March 31th, from 9.00 to 19.00: finals and consolation matches. On Saturday, March 31th, at 20.30: banquet for participants. On Sunday, 1st April, from 9.00 to 15.00: semifinals and finals. On Sunday, 1st April, at 16.00: award ceremony for winners.
ENTRY FEES
Singles + women's and men's doubles = 50.00 EUR. Mixed doubles = 10.00 EUR per player. Banquet fee is 25 EUR including the program and dinner.
Entry fee includes participation in singles matches and in double matches for men and women, souvenir, program and diploma.

Only those players who have registered and paid the entry fee on time participate the draw.

AWARDS
The awards goes to three best players or couples in each category. The players who loose semi-final matches will be awarded with a bronze medal. The winner of a consolation tournament will be awarded with a souvenir and a diploma.
